Fortress Keep

The central structure in a Fortress that is required for further development. Players can deploy here as reinforcements to defend the Fortress. Weapons and other consumables can be stockpiled as well.

Pledging

To access many of a fortress's structures and their inventories, a player must be pledged. This can be done through the Keep interface.

Note: You can only pledge to one fortress at a time. Attempting to pledge to another will remove you from your previous fortress, resetting your rank.

Votes and Ranks

With the exception of the fortress's founding player, there are currently four available fortress ranks. When paying the pledge fee only 50% is deposited into the keep.

Title	Cost	Permissions
Lord (Interim)	Voted Position	A founding title role. Has Thane equivalent permissions.
Lord	Voted Position	Thane with the highest number of votes. Has Thane equivalent permissions.
Thane	Voted Position	Reduced restrictions for accessing inventories, opening gates, and dismantling structures within that fortress.
Ceorl	200	Can receive votes to become Thane.
Serf	50	Can vote for Ceorls to become Thanes. Can build inside fortress.
Cottager	25	No Special permissions. Cannot build inside fortress.

Taxes

Homesteads will pay a portion of its Decay prevention Silver to the nearest town as a Tax. This public tax money can then be withdrawn from the Town by elected Thanes.
