Pre-Alpha Test - Pre-Alpha Test MS 61.1
Game Balance
- Age now begins in Harvest (Fall), meaning Sumer (Sumer) won't start until until several real life days have passed
- Battering Rams now require Strong Fibre to build
- Battering Ram require Iron Ingots instead of Steele Ingots to build
- Battering Ram health reduced by 25%
- Hemp Plants can now be planted in Lencten (Spring)
- Religious influence accumulates significantly slower
- Additional Relic Sites added to the map
- Axes, Pick Axes, Scythes, and Hammers have significantly reduced damage so they can't be used effectively in combat
- Minimum distance between Camps increased
- Health of all Homestead and Camp walls and gates reduced by 50% (does not impact Forts)
- Note: To reduce the effectiveness of Homesteads as "Forward Bases" and mitigate overall Camp defensibility
Changes
- After taking fall damage, players are now put into combat mode for an extended period of time
- Sprint speed now scales down with maximum stamina (i.e. A player that is managing food/stamina effectively can sprint faster than a "naked" player just continuously respawning)
- There is a minimum distance between Keeps and Relic Sites so a Keep can't be used to "hold down" a Relic Site
- Fort Beds in Towns are no longer destroyed
- Homestead Keystones fast decay if they don't have pledges
- Beacon player icon size reduced slightly to help differentiate from other icons
Bug Fixes
- Heavy Battering Ram can issue an attack rapidly without the intended cooldown
- Weather Events weren't triggering as expected in certain seasons
Test Objectives
- Determine if new players have an easier time integrating into the core gameplay and PvP
- Test how well combat and siege gameplay is working, including the new Heavy Battering Ram
- Find bugs and instability issues
- Test how Relic Sites are working as a PvP objective
- It is NOT an objective in this test to evaluate how the Avatar system, Homestead gameplay, or economy is working (these parts of the game will be iterated on in future updates but not this one)
