Though you recognize the Mirrish custom of burying heads within a mound of tightly stacked stones—a ritual called a planting—this mound is oddly positioned. It’s not typical for such a mound to be found so close to the sea, and secondly these mounds are sacred, and often themselves works of art.
The carved heads are of a typical Mirrish style, so you believe it may have been a memorial of sorts, or perhaps a beloved pet.
