Pre-Alpha Test Nov 1st - Key Changes
The following only represents significant and not all changes in the build this afternoon. As a reminder, during pre-alpha both small and large changes will occur without warning to facilitate rapid development and experimentation.
NOTE: Taxes will be disabled / not functional in this build and will be revisited in the next test
Changes
- New Structure: Bunk Bed
- Works like House Beds, but supports up to 4 players
- New Item: Rope
- Horses and Donkeys can now be roped, which makes them follow the player
- Roped animals can be tied to trees
- Roped animals can be tied to other animals, creating a chain
- Horses and Donkeys can now be roped, which makes them follow the player
- Homestead owned structures can now be built anywhere and no longer need to be built on Homestead foundations
- Homestead extensions have been removed as a result
- Homesteads can now be allied with one another, allowing shared access to structures
- Items placed into Marketplace Shops will now automatically sell to the world if no other player buys it automatically after a period of time
- Only the top 10 largest Settlements are now shown on the world map at a given zoom level
- Marketplace Shop icons are larger on the map
- Beacon Tower cost changed to 10x Wood Planks
- Beacon Tower fuel type changed to Fibre and burns fuel 18x slower than before
- House Beds can no longer be built directly next to each other
Bug Fixes
- Caravans/Carts are no longer left behind when travelling across a region border
- Homestead owned structures can't be looted
- Marketplace Shop tooltip is no longer occluded by Beacon radius
- Food cooldown can sometimes be bypassed
- Players can drown on certain areas of the map even when they are on land
- Boat movement has errors on several rivers
- Boars aren't spawning in several areas on the map
